Great colour in spring. Will tolerate poor, dry soil, are deer resistant and can be left undisturbed for years for colour every spring. Can be used as a cut flower. The seed pods give textural interest in the garden through late summer.
Reddish-violet balls 4-5” across are borne on 20-30” stems in late spring. This is the earliest of the large-flowered Alliums.
